Why Join?

We make a difference. Together with our alumni worldwide we have funded strategic initiatives running into millions of dollars and for over 5 years led the discourse on changing the quality of secondary education in the nation.

The Board Of Trustees

The Board of Trustees are appointed inline with the statutory requirements for the formation of not-for-profits and members serve pre-agreed terms.

The Council

The council is made up of elected Chairmen or Presidents of sets and chapters in Nigeria. Each chapter or set signs into the charter prior to nominating members and representatives to the Council. The Council elects the executives and during the annual strategy retreat sets the general direction for each year to guide the executives in executing.

The Executives

The body is run today by the President, The Secretary General and the Financial Secretary. There is a secretariat with staff and volunteers running key aspects of the operations and executing the mandate of the Executives.

Committees

In terms of executing our strategy, work devolves to Committees and Subcommittees who are set with terms of references and then resourced to do their work. Committees can be standing or adhoc committees based on the nature of their assignments. All committees are overseen by the President and resourced and monitored by the secretariat.

About The Semper Nation NG

The Semper Nation Nigeria is the umbrella body of all the alumni of the College of the Immaculate Conception (CIC) Enugu, aka Sempers. As a registered not-for-profit, it is guided by a constitution and strict codes of governance in all areas of operations. To participate in Semper Nation activities, one must be a registered member of a local Nigeria-based branch or chapter, and where such does not yet exist, one must be a registered member of a local Nigeria-based set organization, and in all cases be up-to-date with dues payment. It is through the mechanism of participating sets and chapters that we deliver member benefits and mobilize resources to support the projects that are approved by members. The Annual National Convention in Enugu Nigeria holds in August every year and is a massive homecoming of Sempers from all over the world and over 3 days our members congregate in the beautiful city of Enugu to participate in many activities including the Annual General Meeting of Members where new projects are pitched by set or chapter executives and then voted for by members.
